6 Best Mini Fridges and Table Top Coolers UK -2024

The top 6 budget friendly and high quality mini fridges and table top coolers in 2024 you can get from the United Kingdom. The UK top 6 according to research and Amazon reviews.

Here in the UK, the sun is finally starting to show its face. about time if you ask me. which leads to a few exciting times to come. I am of course talking about back yard sunbathing, garden parties and home al fresco dinning. bliss

All of which require one important thing. No not sun cream, I mean, yes, sun cream is very important. But in this case I was referring to another important thing… Cold drinks: Ice cold beer, chilled soda, flavoured pitchers and white wine chilled within an inch of its life.

This means we need the extra fridge space and so a mini fridge or table top fridge becomes a summer essential.

It’s also worth noting that a good quality mini fridge isn’t just for storing your beer in summer. Its always good to have that extra fridge space, here in the UK we are usually familiar with mini fridges being these tiny appliances which we get around our 14th birthdays to store 4 cans of coke in which after 1 week of use never get used again due to the unbearably rumbling sound, the fact they are way to small to fit anything decent in, and the fact that they don’t really get that cold.

High quality mini fridges

However, these days mini fridges have really upped there game. Silent in operation, plenty of space, a fresh modern look that would look stunning in any kitchen and better temperature control then most larger fridges.

Having a nice table top fridge in your kitchen doesn’t just look impressive, its great for freeing up room in your full size fridge and separating different foods. You could have your main fridge for food and a table top fridge for drinks alone, you could separate fresh food from packaged food, you could keep food with the shortest best by dates in the table top fridge and longer dates in your main fridge.

If you’re savvy enough you could also adjust your table top fridge temperature to be cooler then your main fridge, and separate food depending on temperature. Almost like an in-between for your fridge and freezer.

The list of pros for a good table top fridges goes on and on. The question you probably have is “yes, but how much will this cost?” Don’t worry, I’m getting to that.

Budget friendly mini fridges

Mini fridges can range from £20 Argos specials which are basically terrible, to £1000 luxury fridges which are great, but not very accessible for the majority of us.

For this short list of 6 UK distributed fridges I’ve made sure to keep the budget low and the quality high. Each one of these is a great value for money in one way or another and all are below £200

Top tip on making your mini fridge look amazing - Use vinyl to cover your fridge in whatever colour or theme fits your kitchen/wherever you plan to put your mini fridge.

A note on apartments

Mini fridges work great for freeing up space in your full size fridge. However, sometimes its not about freeing up space, instead its a necessity. For all you city slickers and apartment dwellers, you may only have a tiny fridge already. I know I’ve been there.

Which may make you consider buying a second, larger fridge. However space in apartments can be limiting and even if you find the space for a full size fridge, it can often look out of place and clunky.

I would instead recommend you getting one of the larger fridges on this list such as the Subcold 50l or 100l capacity fridge, and having that table top in your kitchen. That one works great because it also has an ice box for freezable goods.

If there’s one thing that can be frustrating about the majority of UK flat renting, its having that tiny freezer box in your fridge which barely fits 2 pizzas. Getting that 100l Subcold fridge will double that space.

The Top 6 Budget Friendly UK Wine Fridges

#1 Subcold Ultra 15 Mini Fridge Cooler

This Subcold mini fridge is the smallest capacity on the list, perfect for a small place or maybe even a home office.

With a 17l capacity this mini fridge makes the perfect table top fridge for keeping extra drinks in. It also has a sleek black look which would fit in to many different kitchen themes from rustic to modern and makes the perfect base if you wanted to cover it in vinyl for a pop of colour.

Now we are on to the bigger side of table top fridges with the Russell Hobbs 43l capacity. With over 4.5k reviews on Amazon and an average 4.6 stars, this is one of the most highly rated and reviewed UK mini fridges. Whatever question you may have on this fridge is surely answered in the review section to assure complete customer satisfaction.

Even bigger still is the Subcold 75l capacity mini fridge which comes with an ice box, perfect for keeping your ice in without taking up your main freezer space. You also have the option to get the same fridge in a smaller 50l version, or a bigger 100l version.

This one would make the perfect bar fridge being that it has a glass front. I must say, I do love the glass front look that makes it perfect for wine and beer. It also comes with a lock and key to keep your valuable booze locked up and out of reach.

Last but certainly not least is the inventor 42l capacity mini fridge. Once again it has the sleek black look perfect as is or perfect for adding a dash of vinyl to make it your own.
