Era 1 – Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s very first album saw her skyrocket to fame, fast! The album was released in 2006 and spent a huge 24 weeks at number one of the Country Album charts, it also peaked at number 5 on the billboard 200 and became the longest-charting album of the 2000’s decade! So it’s no wonder there’s people wanting to dress as this Era for their Era’s tour outfit or, to a Taylor Swift party.

Era 2 – Fearless (Taylor’s Version) of course!
Taylor Swift’s second studio album originally released in 2008 and 2021 with Taylor’s Version. The album is officially listed as a Country Pop album and won Album of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2009. At the 2012 Grammy Awards, Fearless won Album of the Year & Best Country Album – wowieeee!
Taylor Swift still kept true to her country style in the Fearless era however, we did start to see glimpses of more Hollywood glamour. Thinks tassels, fringing and GOLD!

Body glitter is a must. You can’t go to a Taylor Swift concert and not shimmer. It’s something that you’re going to use to elevate any era you go with. But instead of repeating myself for every era, I’ll just leave it here. Body glitter, it’s cheap, its versatile, its an absolute must.

Speaking about things that are good for all Era’s. Check out this Sequin jacket, it screams Taylor Swift.
The silver one pictured is great for fearless if you’re not into the gold. But if you are into the gold, well you’re in luck because they have it in gold.
They also have a multi-coloured one which is perfect for 1989. A red one perfect for, well, red.
A purple on that screams Midnights and Speak Now and if that wasn’t enough, they also have it in black which is great for Reputation.
Era 3 – Speak Now
Taylor Swift’s third studio album, and at the minute, the most exciting one with it’s release just around the corner! Inspired by Taylor Swift’s transition from adolescence into adulthood this concept album was entirely self-written by a then 18-20 year old Swift. With country, pop and rock all included in this album it really has it all.
Taylor started to move away from her from her country way of dressing during the Speak Now era and we started to see more fairy-tail like outfits with tulle and sweetheart necklines and of course, a lot of PURPLE!

Era 4 – Red (Taylor’s Version)
Swift’s fourth studio album Red was first released in 2012 and then again as Taylor’s Version is 2022. The album spent seven weeks at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified seven-times platinum.
The album itself gives very much cosy, autumn vibes which may not be the best outfit for all the dancing you’ll be doing so, why not channel your inner 22 year old!!!

Era 5 – 1989
The fifth studio album from Taylor Swift was released in 2014 and takes its name from her birth year, 1989.
1989 was a full pop album with little of her country roots remaining. With 7 singles it was one of Taylor’s biggest and most hyped albums with her 1989 world tour becoming the biggest grossing tour of 2015.
For 1989 we need crop tops, high waist skirts and some sparkles, good job you can find it all below.

1989 Era’s Tour outfit
Throughout the 1989 Era during the Era’s concert. We see Taylor in a lot of these similar outfits in different colours. The green one especially has became quite iconic.
I’ve found a budget replica and the beauty of it is, that although I’m sharing the green version, if you check out the amazon for each one, they have the exact same clothes in each colour. So you could get the same thing in red, purple, or blue.

Era 6 – Reputation
Swift’s sixth studio album was released in 2017 and it was to be her last under Big Machine Records (byeeeeee)!
Swift wrote the album while in self-seclusion after a the tabloid scrutiny on her private life became too much after her fifth studio album. The album spent four weeks at number one of the Billboard 200 as well as topping the charts across the globe, it’s also one of my personal favourites!
Swifts style became darker and grungier with the release of reputation so, for your reputation era outfit think dark metallics, bodysuits, sequins, fishnets and leather.

Era 7 – Lover
Lover was released in 2019 and it was Taylor’s first album released under Republic Records after her highly publicized dispute with Big Machine Records. Swift has said that Lover is a “love letter to love”, she took inspiration from her personal life and her newfound artistic freedom.
For lover think pastels, coloured sequins and all things soft.

Era 8 and 9 – Folklore and Evermore
Swift’s eighth studio album Folklore, was released after a surprise announcement in July 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The album is “a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness”. Taylor recorded all her vocals in a studio she set up in her LA home.
On the day of its release Folklore broke the record for the biggest opening day on Spotify for an album by a female act. Folklore went on to win Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards.
Evermore was Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album, much like Folklore, it was a surprise release in December 2020. Swift said that Evermore was an “offshoot of the folklorian woods” and that she regards Folklore and Evermore as sister albums. Much like Folklore, Evermore was largely a product of remote collaboration.
We didn’t see much of Taylor’s style or what she wanted the style of Folklore and Evermore to be due to the pandemic but from the glimpses we saw, think florals, dreamy, fairytale, boho whimsical outfits.

Era 10 – Midnights
Swift’s tenth studio album, Midnights, was released in October 2022 and was her first new body of work since Folklore and Evermore. The album is inspired by Swift’s “sleepless nights”.
Midnights has achieved the Spotify feat for the most single-day streams of an album and topped the charts in 28 territories. Midnights also saw the largest vinyl sales week of the 21st century AND became the best-selling album of 2022.
For Midnights inspired outfits, think midnight blues, purples, 70’s inspired fabrics and of course, bejewelled-ness.
