Guts Cocktail - Olivia Rodrigo Themed Cocktail Recipe

If your drink isn’t purple on the 8th of September when Olivia Rodrigo’s new album Guts gets released, can you even call yourself a fan? Debateable.

However that need not be the case, because I’ve got all the recipes for you right here on Smartblend so you can celebrate Guts in style!

It’s super easy to recreate and perfect for celebrating Guts.

The Ingredients

The cocktail itself is super easy to make at home. It’s basically a twist on the classic Margarita.

So if you like Tequila, sour cocktails (not to be confused with the Olivia Rodrigo album sour… However this would work great for that) or easy to make cocktails, then you’re going to love this!

The Serve

The serve is really what makes this cocktail.

First thing first we’re going to plonk a huge handful of candy floss on the side.

I could sit here and try to convince you it’s purpose is to elevate the cocktail by adding that extra sweetness but if I’m completely honest. It’s just because its fun.

This is an Olivia Rodrigo themed cocktail we’re making after all. It’s all about fun.

The Garnish

But it’s not the candy floss that’s screaming Olivia Rodrigo here. The thing that really says “This is an Olivia Rodrigo themed cocktail for guts” is the purple guts butterfly. That’s one of many print-at-home garnishes I’ve made for anyone wanting to throw an Olivia Rodrigo themed party.

They’re also great for garnishing cakes.

An Olivia Rodrigo Guts inspired cocktail recipe perfect for any Olivia Rodrigo party or the release of Guts - With Tequila, Lime, Grenadine and Purple food gel. Great for making at home.

Ingredients

• 30ml (1oz) Tequila
• 15ml (0.5oz) Cointreau
• 30ml (1oz) Lime Juice
• 15ml (0.5oz) Grenadine
• 2 drops purple food gel

Instructions

1. Add everything to a cocktail shaker and shake with ice.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe
3. Garnish with the Guts butterfly topper from the toppers section and some candy floss.
